A new Australian Government initiative is making it easier and more affordable to power your home with battery storage.
The Cheaper Home Batteries Program officially launches on 1 July 2025, with a massive $2.3 billion committed to helping households, small businesses, and community organisations take control of their energy bills and reduce reliance on the grid.
This rebate offers eligible Australians up to 30% off the cost of a new home battery system, applied upfront at the time of purchase, not months later.
The good news? We take care of the application process for you, so there’s no confusing paperwork or delays. Just expert advice, trusted products, and full support from start to finish.
Your rebate amount depends on the size and cost of your system. Here’s an example:
If your battery system costs $14,000, the rebate could reduce that to around $9,800 saving you approximately $4,200 upfront.
As this rebate can only be claimed once per property, it’s essential to choose the right system the first time.
We’ll assess your energy usage and provide expert advice to ensure your battery has the correct kilowatt capacity for your home or business.
If you install a system that’s too small, you can always add more battery storage later — but additional batteries won’t be eligible for the rebate. Getting it right from the start is key.

Battery storage offers long-term value beyond the rebate:

The Cheaper Home Batteries Rebate is your one-shot to invest in smarter energy and we’re here to help you get it right.

Yes. The rebate applies to eligible new solar + battery installations as well as battery-only upgrades for existing solar systems. If you’re starting from scratch, we can design a full system that qualifies for the rebate.
We’ll evaluate your system and usage. If needed, we can recommend a solar upgrade alongside the battery to ensure you’re getting maximum efficiency and still qualify for the rebate.
No, the rebate is limited to one claim per property, so it’s important to get the right battery size from the beginning. If you add more battery storage later, it will not be eligible for another rebate.
